Main classification of MDF
Mar 01, 2023| 1. Indoor type medium density fiberboard (referred to as indoor type board), with the symbol of MDF, is a medium density fiberboard that does not have the effect of short-term water immersion or high humidity. The plate color is identified as the natural color.
2. Indoor damp-proof medium density fiberboard (referred to as damp-proof fiberboard), with the symbol of MDF. H, is a medium density fiberboard that can withstand cold water immersion or high humidity for a short time, and is suitable for indoor kitchen, bathroom and other environments. The plate color is green.
3. Outdoor medium-density fiberboard (hereinafter referred to as outdoor fiberboard), with the symbol of MDF. E, is a medium-density fiberboard that can withstand the aging effect of climatic conditions, water immersion or moisture and heat effect of water vapor in a ventilated place. The plate color is gray.
The performance of medium-density fiberboard varies greatly due to the variety of raw materials, manufacturing process, etc. According to the product technical indicators, it is divided into three grades: excellent products, first-class products and qualified products. In the national standards, the specified mechanical performance indexes include: static bending strength, internal bonding strength, elastic modulus, and the grip force of plate surface and plate edge; Physical performance indicators include: density, water content, water absorption thickness expansion rate. Chemical performance indicators include formaldehyde emission, etc.
